Memorial Air Show
Roudnice nad Labem
Our living history group took part in this traditional Air Show. We presented humble living history display and exhibition Riders in the Sky. Also with friends from Royal Scots Fusiliers and other living history groups.
Liberation festival
Pilsen
Liberation festival in Pilsen is traditional and very popular event. I like to attend it. Year 2005 was exceptional, because 60th anniversary of Victory in Europe and very rainy weather too. We visited many places connected with history of our troops.
VE day
Prague
Deep in history we attended VE day celebration in Prague. It contained living history displays and commemoration march.
Glenn Miller Festival
Twinwoods
Our first foreign experience of me with reenactment. Reenactment and music festival in Twinwoods, former airfield of 51 OTU. Glenn Miller started from this airfield to his very last flight. There are museums in former buildings of this airfield and in former control tower is the museum of Glenn Miller.
Many living history displays took part in this event, including Far East armies, Red Army, US Army etc.
Riders in the sky in Centrál movie
Hradec Králové
Czechoslovak best movie about Czechoslovak airmen in RAF were screened in the cinema Centrál in Hradec Králové. Jiří Holý, who played the role of navigator George in this movie attended this event.
